Briefing:

VFR Wellness is a virtual mental health clinic based in Northern Colorado. Since our clients often find themselves across the US, we provide services in as many states as we can. VFR Wellness can provide therapy services in 43 states, D.C. and Northern Marianas. Please see the below map and list to ensure you can receive services in the locations you work and live. We use a HIPPA compliant version of Zoom for your security and convenience.

Where can I receive Services?

Most therapists can only provide services in the state they are licensed in or a few others. This isn’t the case at VFR Wellness. Dr. Eric Richardson has Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) granted by the PSYPACT. This means that he can provide services in the 43 and counting states (and 2 districts) that have adopted PSYPACT legislation. Please see the map above for PSYPACT “Participating States” where you can be located while receiving our services. Six states are currently working to become PSYPACT states by introducing legislation. More information regarding PSYPACT and its requirements can be found at www.psypact.gov. To ensure VFR Wellness is compliant with PSYPACT and state laws, your location will be obtained at the beginning of each session.

What do services look like?

VFR Wellness uses Zoom for Healthcare. VFR Wellness has a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with zoom to provide secure and HIPPA compliant virtual services. There is no need to download the Zoom app or create a Zoom profile (however some clients have found it helpful for the best experience). Instructions on how to navigate Zoom meetings is provided here.

Can I be seen in Person?

Not yet. VFR Wellness is a Colorado based business which is the home state of Dr. Richardson and where he is a licensed Psychologist. VFR Wellness does not have any physical office to see clients in-person at this time. If you live in Northern Colorado and are interested in receiving in-person services, please let Dr. Richardson know and options may be considered.
