The consultation is a free 30-60 minute meeting where we discuss my services, how they work, what you might expect to gain from them, which service might fit you best, aviation specific considerations (if interested), and what you want to focus on if we were to work together.

Traditional therapy begins with a diagnostic interview where we ensure we have the best understanding of what is fueling your concerns and how we can best tailor services to your specific needs. From there, therapy approaches, proven to benefit your specific needs, are used to strengthen coping skills, relieve distress, and help you return to the things you value most. It isn’t just about managing symptoms – it’s about helping you feel more like yourself again get back on your life path.

Preventive therapy does not focus on diagnosing you with a condition and then treating your symptoms. Instead of asking “what is wrong,” we skip the diagnostic interview and ask, “what do you want out of life?” Although we will likely talk about things like stress, mood, relationships, and thoughts, the main goal is to help you live out what you Value through psychological Flexibility and Resilience (VFR). We will use evidence-based treatments to get you there.
This is a particularly beneficial approach for individuals who are not looking for a diagnosis or don’t want their mental health support narrowed by a traditional therapeutic approachs.
