Insurance
We do not currently accept insurance. This is common practice for specialized mental health services (particularly in aviation). We are happy to provide you with the necessary paperwork to submit an out-of-network claim to your insurance company. Please discuss this option with your provider at the initial consultation.
Notice of Your Right to No Surprise Billing and a Good Faith Estimate of Costs
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost, and we are required by law to post this notice about this right:
Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
- Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
Additional Services
- Additional services not otherwise identified (e.g., my participation in legal matters, extensive collaboration with other treatment providers, extensive contact outside of sessions) are billed at therapy rate of $225 per hour. Pro-rated at 15 minute increments. You will be informed prior to services being rendered if they will be billed at this rate and an estimate of the time it will likely take to provide these services.
- I do not typically charge for brief calls, texts, and messages if not extensively used.
- I do not typically charge to provide documents related to treatment such as treatment summaries or progress notes if not extensively used.
- I do not typically charge for brief collaboration with other providers if not extensively used.
